Birds have been around for millions of years. They started developing different types of flight capabilities about 200 million years ago. Many of the birds are found living on mountains. The shrikes are small birds that have a metallic blue body. They can be found mostly in South America.
They have large wings and strong legs. They eat mostly insects and other small animals. They can attack a person with their beak. They use their strong legs and sharp claws to kill their prey. In fact, the shrikes are the only birds that will cut open the bellies of their prey with their bills.
This is very dangerous to their survival. The shrikes are able to get in their prey by using their sharp beaks to pierce the belly. The shrikes are also good fliers. The metal birds has a powerful flight capacity. They are often seen on the branches of trees in forests. Shrikes are often seen with a metal object in their beak. They use this object as a weapon to protect themselves against predators.
They will even use it to fight another bird. The shrike was once considered a beautiful sight. Some people used to think that the shrike was a sign of bad luck. It was believed that if a shrike perched on top of a house, it meant that it would rain soon.
The name shrike comes from the German word Skurr, which means “to shriek”. A shrike is very similar to a black bird but it has a red head. The eyes of a shrike are big and bulging. Its body has black feathers with white spots. Its wings are long and thin.
It flies low over the ground looking for animals to kill. [Voice-over] The shrike can kill other birds, reptiles, amphibians and small mammals by stabbing them with a sharp spike.
